Hello! My name’s Stacy (they/them) and I am a former hotshot who is currently working on a book about my experiences as a firefighter, climate change, ecology, and fire history in the United States.
Because this newsletter is growing, I wanted to share my publication schedule with you.
Sunday mornings: Interview snippets from folks working in ecology, Indigenous rights, and fire.
Wednesday mornings: Small essays addressing reader questions. Please ask away in the comments!
Once a month: Deeply researched historical perspectives. Right now I am providing a lens into life in the United States preceding fire suppression.
All of these take a lot of work. It takes time to interview folks and dive into research. Writing is a result of all that time.
